Hat 66

For this hat I used the Addison Hat pattern from the JPF crochet club. I always loved this hat, though I hope the big holes won't be too much of a problem. The yarn used was Caron Simply soft in Ocean. Always takes me a while to get the hang of making this hat, but it's all worth it in the end.

Hat 65!

Hat 65 is some very very soft pink yarn twined with a shimmery satin type yarn all done with a HDC stitch. The finished hat was so soft and pretty, if I liked pink, I'd consider stealing/keeping it!

Hat 64

Hat 64 done in Sapphire Vanna's Choice Yarn and some yellow and blue fuzzy yarn that I had just a little bit left.

Half the year is done and I think I'll be able to make it so I have 25 hats when I drop them off. I've been doing other projects and somewhat feel no creativity when it comes to making hats. But I did buy a book that of edgings and trims so was thinking I would just make a bunch of beanies with some pretty trims to make life easy until I feel that spark again.

Hat 63

Not too long ago I bought a bunch of yarn from a lady. It had all kinds of fun yarn of varying color and amount. This was one of the yarns in that bunch. Since it was a striping type yarn the top of my hat turned out much different from the bottom. I thought it came out pretty neat looking overall.

Hat 62

Hat 62 is simple and soft with a little sparkle thrown in. The black is Caron simply soft yarn and the other is some yarn I had around. You can't see very well, but it has some nice pastel shades and a little bit of gold going through it. Simple and pretty, it's how I like it.

Hat 61!

Happy Mother's Day! Here is hat 61 I did recently and it has become one of my favorites. I've always loved crochet flowers but have a hard time actually doing them. I found this pattern, Butterfly, Flower and Leaf, over at Craft Passion and they were just so fun and easy to make I made a few just to keep around. So I made a simple HDC stitch hat with some off white yarn and put a few flowers on it with some of the same yarn tied around to make a thin band. I think it turned out very nice and plan on doing a few more with the flowers since I love those small little flowers.

Princess Peach Amigurumi

So after making those Mario Mushrooms and sending them out, my friend's daughter requested a Princess Peach. I only found a couple patterns online but nothing that I really liked since I wanted something a bit more simple. So decided to try it out using a different pattern.

First I tried using the Kokeshi Dolls pattern to make the Peach doll. I figured something a little different. It turned out okay, but not exactly what I was looking for. So that little princess went to my niece who seemed to love it.
I then took that same pattern and fiddled with it a bit and added arms. I even made the arms movable which I thought was pretty neat. I sent off the Princess Peach and I'm hoping she likes it. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Both dolls I used the Caron Super Soft since it has so many bright colors.

Cthulhu and other Amigurumi

So decided to try out some Amigurumi since I always think they are so cute.
All of these are from Patterns and I'll put the links on the bottom of this post.

Cthulhu - The first one was the big green one which I used some Red Heart Supersaver. I showed it to some friends and a couple requested their own so I made another green and a purple one. Those were made with the Caron Supersoft which I thought turned out much cuter since they ended up being much smaller than the first one.

Mario Mushrooms - I made the mini one and then a friend asked if she could have it. So I made her 2 more to go along with it. All done with Red Heart Supersaver yarn.

Striped Turtles - I made the big one first and gave that to my nephew but they were so cute I had to make more. I made them a little smaller than the pattern said and used Red Heart on both of the smaller ones.

Octopus - He was a nice and easy guy to make. I haven't given him away yet, but he's pretty darn cute. Red heart yarn again!

Hat 60!

Hat 60 was made using the Lion Brand Easy Sideways hat pattern (need to sign in) with a little change on the end of the pattern. Instead of weaving it together I made a cinch tie on the top and attached a couple of pom poms. It can be worn as both a hat and a cowl and I've seen similar patterns online before. I would like to do this type again but next time using the Convertible Hat pattern. Yarn used was Michael's Loops & Threads in Neopolitan.

Hat 59

After doing Hat 52, I still had a little of the poofy yarn left over. So figure I'd just finish that last little bit off by pairing it with some regular green yarn I had. Nothing too complex, just something simple.
