Hat 181

I went to Massachusetts and while I was there I bought some factory ends yarn for really cheap!  There was a huge bag of a soft nice brown yarn so I snatched that up!  Here's my first hat with my good buy at Jo-Anns!  I paired it with some Homestyle yarn that I had a bit extra of.  Perfect!

Hat 180!!

I had some weird green yarn with little balls on them and I really wasn't sure about how they would look in a hat.  But I figured I'd try it anyway and I think it came out pretty cute.  It also has little sparkles in them. I was thinking of putting little butterflies on the hat because they look like little caterpillar cocoons, but I haven't had the chance yet.

Hat 179

The same friend that gave me that ribbon yarn also gave me this fuzzy soft puffy yarn.  Whenever I have yarn that soft, I always like to make a hat of just the yarn and not mess it up with anything else.  But usually they are a little plain so I have to add a little bit to brighten it up.  Luckily my sister had gotten me a bunch of these huge flowers for my hats and a large red flower was perfect for it!

Hat 178

A friend of mine gave me some cute ribbon yarn and I wanted to figure out a way to crochet it without loosing it's cute pattern.  So I crocheted a purple hat with lots of holes and then weaved the ribbon through the holes.  I am really happy with this hat, but it was actually a bit annoying to make.  Maybe I'll make a similar one someday when I'm in a good mood.

Hat 177

I have buttons.  I have tons of buttons!  Once there was a sale at Ross and I bought a bunch of different colored buttons to put on hats!  But I really haven't used many of the buttons sadly.  So I finally did a cute little button decoration hat!  I used some Caron Simply soft in black and found the last bits of a yellow multi string yarn that I had.  So since I think this hat came out pretty cute, I guess I have to pull out my button collection!

Hat 176

Back to work with the hats!  As the previous year, I've been slacking on my hats a little and making other items.  But I got a few and I plan on amping it up to make my 25 by dec!
This hat is using up some green scrap yarn I had.  It's sort of like a shoelace type feel to it so I added some soft yarn in off-white to help it out a little.  This with some basic brown yarn makes this a little earthy hat.

Hat 175

When I was in Colorado, we stopped at a JoAnn to check out the yarn.  Of course with so much stuff on sale and so cheap, I had to get a few things.  I found some Purl Essence Rainbow Boucle Yarn and it was a huge skein for very cheap.  I got a couple but after making a hat with it, I wish I had gotten more!  This hat came out so soft and I love how it looks!  I made a little adornment with some Sashay type yarn to add a little extra to it.

Hat 174

Hat 174 is from a pattern, but sadly I don't remember what the pattern was!  I used some Vanna Yarn along with Caron Simply Soft yarn in blue.

Hat 173

Hat 173 is another scrap hat!  This one is all of my Caron Simply Soft yarn scraps put together to make one kinda cool crazy hat!  One day I'll keep one of my scrap hats because I really think they are neat!

Hat 172

So this hat I had originally made for myself.  It's a crochet version of the Jayne hat from Firefly.  I actually even had the ear flaps.  But after making it, I never wore it and decided I should probably give it away.  The ear flaps were a bit much so I took those off.  Now it's just a cute little orange hat!
