Hat 107 is made with some Vanna's Choice Yarn in Terracotta and some fuzzy colorful yarn I had. I made the hat in the terracotta with a HDC stitch first then went back with the fuzzy yarn and added it to the loops on the outside of the hat. I was worried the fuzzy yarn would be too itchy on the inside and I like the way it poofs out a bit extra than if I just changed yarn during the hat.

Hat 106
So here is one of my favorite hats I've made this year. I tend to buy a lot of Caron Simply Soft yarn and I love all their colors, so I usually have a lot of scraps of different colors. This hat was to use up some of those scraps.
The pattern for this was Lion Brand's Easy Sideways Hat with a little extra twist. I will probably do similar hats in the future since I love how this turned out.

Hat 104
For Hat 104 I used the Caron Yarnspiration's pattern Tri-color Cloche, but instead used just 2 colors. Last Christmas I was part of a Secret Santa and he sent me some Vanna's Choice yarn in Sea Spray Mist which I paired with a orange Vanna's Choice yarn. I couldn't think of a 3rd color and liked how this looked with just the 2 so kept it that way all the way through. It is a bit holey but I don't think it's too bad and I made it nice and big so it should be comfy and not too hot.

Hat 102
Finally got around to taking some pictures! Here is hat 102! When in the mainland I picked up some Loops and Threads Country Loom yarn in the Wild West color. I found some Vanna's Choice Terracotta Orange yarn to match but ran out pretty quickly. I thought I had enough Wild West to finish it, but I was annoyingly mistaken. I figured if I had to use another yarn, I'd match the other color in Wild West and got some Caron Simply Soft in some pretty Blue Mint to finish off the hat.

Crochet Fusion Blanket
So for the past 3 months or so I've been working on this crochet quilted blanket. I finally finished it! I slacked a lot on making hats, but was able to get a few in there between this project. A friend of mine used to quilt and supplied me with all the material for
the squares. In the end I liked the way it turned out, but don't think
I want to make another. I think if I just crocheted a blanket this
size, it would have been a lot less work.
The pattern for this project was Little Miss Shabby's "Fusion Blanket Crochet Along".

Hat 101!
Hat 101! It's been a bit slow working on hats during the start of the year. A few other projects came up that I've been working on. But I've managed to make a few to start off with. This one is made with Caron Simply soft yarn and some other colorful yarn I had around. I made it a little extra long so it can be worn flipped up or down.

Hungry Caterpillar baby cocoon
Previously I posted my Very Hungry Caterpillar baby cocoon and here it is in action! I was worried it might be too small or big since I haven't been around a tiny baby in a long while, but looks like he grew right into it. Hopefully it'll keep him warm for at least a couple times before he grows out of it. One of the big reasons I don't crochet a lot of stuff for kids is they grow way to darn fast, but still, happy I made this since it turned out so well and looks so darn cute. Yay!

Another year of hats!
Just dropped off 25 hats to the chemo ward. I also brought the nurses some lunch type pastries and some dessert pastries because they work so hard. Another year down and time to start working on next years hats. I probably won't start will January since this will be a pretty busy month, but who knows, maybe I'll get a couple out this month if I'm good. I've got no big projects that are coming up (that I know of) so I should be fine with making a bunch of hats. This past year was a bit hard making my 25 quota, but got it finished with a push at the end. This year I also made a shrug for my mother in law, hat and scarves for my 2 aunts, a couple rugs to try and either sell or use, plus a couple hats for random people so it's been a busy crochet year.
